China Railway Express (CRE) between China and Europe has set a monthly record in April, with 979 trips in total, transporting 88,000 TEUs of cargoes, up 46% and 50% year-on-year respectively.

Among these trips, 589 (53,000 TEUs) are departure trips, up 65% (68%) year-on-year, with a loaded container rate of 99.9%, while 390 (35,000 TEUs) are return trips, up 24% (29%) year-on-year, with a loaded container rate of 94.7%.

For the first four months of this year, CRE trains had operated 2,920 trips in total, dispatching 262,000 TEUs of cargoes, up 24% and 27% year-on-year respectively. Among these, 148,000 TEUs are departure trips, up 40%year-on-year, with a loaded container rate of 99.9%, while 114,000 TEUs are return trips, up 14% year-on-year, with a loaded container rate of 95.5%. In particular, since the outbreak of the epidemic, CRE train traffic has achieved a growth against the trend.
