April cargo throughput at the port of Singapore plunged 12.6% from the year-ago period, to 47.5 million tons. The port registered container volume of 2.84 million TEUs, down 5.0% from the previous corresponding period, according to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA).
From January to April 2019, Singapore handled a total container throughput of 12.12 million TEUs, up 1.9% compared to 11.89 million TEUs in the same period last year.
