China's export container transportation demand was mixed depending on markets and the Shanghai (Export) Containerized Freight Index (SCFI) issued by the Shanghai Shipping Exchange (SSE) stood at 778.00 points on April 26, up by 2.1% compared to the previous week.
Spot rates for containers moving from Shanghai to Europe was $717 per TEU, up by 12.4% from the previous week while the Shanghai-Mediterranean rate edged down by 1.3% to $726 per TEU.

On the transpacific trades, the favorable demand for transports boosted spot rates to $1,567 per FEU for shipments from Shanghai to the U.S. west coast and $2,705 per FEU to the east coast, up by 2.0% and 2.7%, respectively.
