The Shanghai Containerized Freight Index was 782.46 points in the week ended on April 12, down 1.2 points from the previous week, according to the Shanghai Shipping Exchange (SSE).

Spot container rates from Asia to northern Europe in the week fell 2.7% to US$640 per TEU, while spot rates from Asia to the Mediterranean made a marginal increase of o.6% to $715 per TEU after the rate hike implemented by some carriers..

In the transpacific trades, spot rates declined by 1.0% to $1,606 per FEU for the service to the U.S. west coast and by 0.2% to $2,638 per FEU, for the service the U.S. east coast.
