The Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG)’s Bureau of Port and Harbor will extend opening hours on April 24-26 and May 7-9 at all container terminals of the Port of Tokyo. It will be carried out as part of the efforts the TMG is making to manage transport demand during the 2020 Summer Olympics and Paralympics. Hours for which the container terminals open to handle incoming and outgoing shipments will be prolonged on a trial basis. On April 24-26 and May 7-9, opening hours will be extended in the morning by an hour from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. and in the afternoon by three hours from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.
