Drewry's Intra-Asia Container Index (IACI) increased 2% from the previous week to $959 per FEU in Week. The index, which has remained on an upward trend for five weeks now, was nearly 75% higher than pre-Iran conflict levels, reflecting sustained upward pressure from elevated bunker costs, vessel rerouting, tighter effective capacity, and continued disruption around the Strait of Hormuz.
Intra-Asia spot rates were down 4% to $65 per FEU from Busan to Shanghai, unchanged at $70 per FEU from Ho Chi Minh City to Shanghai, up 13% to $77 per FEU from Jakarta to Shanghai, down 29% to $1,450 per FEU from Shanghai to Jawaharlal Nehru, up 9% to $947 per FEU from Shanghai to Singapore, unchanged at $1,591 per FEU from Shanghai to Tanjung Pelepas, unchanged at $769 per FEU from Shanghai to Yokohama, and unchanged at $90 per FEU from Yokohama to Shanghai.
