The Port of Nagoya handled 2.64 million TEUs of foreign-trade containers in 2025, up 1.9% from the previous calendar year, according to preliminary statistics unveiled by the Nagoya Port Authority (NPA). Exports accounted for 1.37 million TEUs, up 1.7%, an imports, 1.27 million TEUs, up 2.2%.
Domestic containers amounted to 147,914 TEUs in total, down 11.5%, for a total throughput of 2.79 million TEUs, up 1.1%.
Nagoya processed 112.55 million tons of oceangoing cargo last year, up 1.4%, which consisted of 44.53 million tons of exports, up 2.3%, and 68.02 million tons of imports, up 0.8%. Domestic cargo weighed 46.8 million tons in total, up 2.4%, for a total of 159 million tons, up 1.7%.
