Kobe-Osaka International Port Corp. (KOIPC) will extend container terminal gate hours at the Port of Osaka on Jan. 6-16, 2026. Joined by the port authority and other parties, it will ease congestion at terminal gates and reduce time for container delivery.

KOIPC will provide ¥3,500 (US$23) per vehicle to terminal operators if they complete formalities for inbound cargo in the morning (7:30-8:30 a.m.) or during lunchtime (11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m.). It will seek participants until Wednesday from the terminal operators at the Port of Osaka’s oceangoing container wharves (C1, C2, C3, C4, C6, C7, C8, C9, C10, C11, C12, KF1 and KF2).

The program will be applied to the gates that are opened exclusively for specific vehicles and on specific days.
