The Port of Yokohama handled 225,523 TEUs of containers in total in February, which shrank 8.9% from the same month of last year, according to statistics unveiled by the city of Yokohama’s Port and Harbor Bureau.
Exports and imports accounted for 199,510 TEUs, which fell 9.4%. In breakdown, there were declines in both, down 1.4% to 113,267 TEUs and 18.1% to 86,243 TEUs, respectively.
Meanwhile, domestic containers totaled 26,013 TEUs, down 5.2%.
