The composite schedule reliability index for the services that 14 shipping companies operated in April on nine leading trade lanes from Asia and one trans-Atlantic lane improved by 0.06 percentage points to 28.14%. Jointly developed by the Shanghai Shipping Exchange (SSE) and Hong Kong’s CargoSmart, the index continued to rise for three months in a row thanks to eased congestion at ports and higher containership operation efficiency. The index for commercial comment, in contrast, went down by 0.55 points to 23.85%, but that for operation efficiency hiked by 0.66 points to 32.43%.
