The composite China Containerized Freight Index (CCFI) came to 1,853.53 points in Week 15, down 0.2% from the previous week, according to the Shanghai Shipping Exchange (SSE). In contrast, the composite Shanghai Containerized Freight Index (SCFI) improved 6.8% to 2,833.42 points.

By route, the CCFIs fell 1.1% to 2,944.09 points on the North Europe route and 1% to 3,340.48 points on the Mediterranean route. On the trans-Pacific route, the indexes increased 2.3% to 1,492.93 points for containers destined to the east coast of North America but decreased a minute 0.9% to 1,287.2 points for those to the west coast.

On north-south trades, the CCFIs picked up 2.4% to 1,699.54 points for shipments to the Middle East Gulf and the Red Sea and 3.7% to 1,465.59 points for those to Australia and New Zealand. On the South America trade, on the other hand, the index sank 0.7% to 1,649.25 points. The CCFI rose 0.2% to 1,543.5 points on the trade to southern Africa and 6.3% to 1,452.46 points on that to western and eastern Africa.

On intra-Asia routes, the CCFIs were down 1.1% to 926.99 points for exports to Japan, up 4.2% to 849.16 points for those to South Korea and down 1.4% to 1,278.35 points for those to Southeast Asia.
