China’s General Administration of Customs has announced an adjustment of its ongoing China Customs Advance Manifest (CCAM) regulation, according to carrier sources.

The adjustments include following key points:
1. For all cargo bound for China mainland ports, including transshipments in China, the advanced manifest with complete and accurate cargo information must be submitted electronically to China Customs 24 hours prior to loading onto vessels.
2. The manifest must include entire representation of all goods under the Bills of Lading.

The following data items are no longer mandatory:
1. Consignor’s company code
2. Consignee’s company code
3. Name of contact person for Consignee
4. Phone number of contact person for Consignee
5. Notify Party’s company code

The adjusted rule (Order No. 144 [2019]) will take effect on November 15, 2019.
