A total of 634,302 TEUs of containers were moved on ferry services between South Korea and China in 2018, up 3.5% year on year, according to an association governing the said services.
By route, 55,331 TEUs were transported between Incheon and Weihai, a larger volume than any other; 54,061 TEUS between Pyeongtaek and Rizhao; and 49,552 between Incheon and Qingdao. Throughput exceeded the 40,000-TEU line between Incheon and Shidao, between Incheon and Lianyungang, between Pyeongtaek and Weihai, between Pyeongtaek and Yentai and others.
