The Shanghai Shipping Exchange’s Shanghai Containerized Freight Index (SCFI) fell 1.1% to 951.57 last week since the previous Friday's reading 961.88 as increases were seen only on the trades from Shanghai to the East Coast of the U.S. and from Shanghai to West Africa.

The spot rate for shipping containers from Shanghai to northern Europe declined 2.4% to $753 per TEU, and the Shanghai - Mediterranean trade was also down 1.3% to $757 per TEU.

On the transpacific trades, the spot rate from Shanghai to Los Angeles fell 1.8% to $3,739 in the week ended on November 16 while the Shanghai to U.S. East Coast spot rate climbed 3.5% to $3,739 per FEU.
