Container throughput at the port of Singapore increased 6.4% in October to 3.15 million TEUs compared to 2.96 million TEUs in the corresponding period in 2017, according to the Maritime and Port Authority (MPA) of Singapore. The October figure also represents a 5.3% increase over the previous month's 2.99 million TEUs.

For the first 10 months of the year, box volumes at Singapore totaled to 30.45 million TEUs, up 9.8% over 27.73 million TEUs posted in the same period last year.
