Container throughput at the port of Shanghai handled 3.57 million TEUs in October, up 5.3% compared to 3.39 million TEUs in the same period of 2017, according to data from Shanghai International Port Group (SIPG).
On a month on month basis, the volume represents a 6.3% decline from the 3.39 million TEUs for the previous month.
In the first 10 months, box volumes rose 4.97% from the same period last year to 34.93 million TEUs.
