In the first quarter of this year, container traffic at the Port of New York - New Jersey was 1.5 million TEUs, up 2.4% over the first three months of 2016.
Loaded imports rose 1.9% on year to 773,000 TEUs while loaded exports made a slight gain of 0.3% to 332,000 TEUs. Empty containers climbed 5.3% from a year earlier to 427,000 TEUs.
