Vietnam and Cambodia have agreed to jointly construct expressways which will link Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) with the Cambodian capital of Phnom Penh.
Under the memorandum signed by the two parties, the 65-kilometer HCMC - Moc Bai (the Vietnamese border point in Tay Ninh Province) section will be constructed by Vietnam while Cambodia will build the 130-kilometer Phnom Penh - Bavet (the Cambodian border point in Svay Rieng Province) with the aids from the Japanese government.
Total investment is expected to amount to US$650 million.
