Shanghai Port handled 3.22 million TEUs, up 5.9% compared to 3.04 million TEUs for the same month last year. In the first 11 months, its throughput totaled 3.65 million TEUs, up 1.9% against 33.42 million TEUs for the same period in 2015.
For the entire year, the world's busiest container port is expected to beat the previous year's record volumes of 36.54 million TEUs it achieved last year.
