Combined container throughput at ports in China grew a very minute 0.3% to 18,082,300 TEUs in January, remaining nearly unchanged from a year earlier and showing signs of stalling, according to an announcement made by the nation’s Ministry of Transport.

Container lifting almost leveled off at coastal ports, totaling 16,192,300 TEUs, while inland river ports were responsible for 1,889,100 TEUs, which increased 2.4%.
