Ports in China handled 17.888 million TEUs of containers in total in November, which only increased 1.9% year on year, according to a report released on Dec. 15 by the nation’s Ministry of Transport. Coastal ports were responsible for 15.88 million TEUs, which rose 1.5%, and inland river ports, the balance of 1.908 million TEUs, which improved 5.3%.

From January to November, aggregated container throughput was 192,103 million TEUs, which went up 4.2% from the corresponding 11 months of 2014. To and from coastal ports, 172.002 million TEUs were moved, which climbed 3.7%, while inland river ports processed the remaining 20.102 million TEUs, which rose a favorable 8.2%.
