Argentina's President-elect Mauricio Macri has announced annulment of the nation's DJAI import permits to comply with World Trade Organization rulings.
Since 2012 Argentine importers have been required to submit for all envisaged imports a sworn declaration with product information to the country’s taxation and customs authority. The system has been part of several WTO dispute settlement cases. The WTO Dispute Settlement Body found the DJAI to be violating WTO rules and urged Argentina to comply with the rulings.
