A decision by terminal operators in Manila Port to implement a truck booking system to facilitate truck movements at their container terminals is welcomed by the port as a means to ease congestion.
International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) and Asian Terminals Inc. are set to implement the Terminal Appointment Booking System (TABS) which will ensure smooth flow of trucks to and from the port.
The new system is scheduled to start on September 1.
