The Guatemalan Revenue Administration (SAT) will require shipping lines, airlines and freight forwarders to submit additional cargo manifest data, effective on July 14, 2015.
The supplementary data elements include:
- Consignee's Tax Identification Number
- Consignee name and physical address
- Freight information such as House or Master Bill of Lading number
- Cargo weight, currency, freight cost, insurance and other charges
Failure to provide all of the above information might result in local penalties/fees to the shipper/consignee.
