China spent an average of 26.3 hours having import shipments clear customs inspection in the third three quarters of the year, a reduction of 7.1 hours from a year earlier, according to an announcement made by the nation’s General Administration of Customs. Meanwhile, the amount of time consumed in customs-clearance procedures for exports was 2.6 hours on average, which was shorter by 0.4 hours year on year.

In China, paperless customs declarations held a share of 79.9% of the entire declaration of 41,963,000 in the three quarters in question, which were made by 304,000 parties, which accounted for 86.3% of enterprises that export and import products. The average amount of time spent in paperless customs clearance for imports was 17 hours, and for exports, 1.9 hours. They were 9.3 and 0.7 hours less than the aforementioned hours spent for overall export and import products, respectively.
