Nippon Automated Cargo And Port Consolidated System, Inc., known as NACCS which provides a system dedicated to electronic customs processing of air/sea cargo, and Myanmar's Customs Department of the Ministry of Finance have concluded a consultant service contract on Myanmar's ''National Single Window and Customs Modernization By Introducing Automated Cargo Clearance System.''

The deal allows NACCS to assist the Customs Department on the tender offer process of hardware and software and procurement control of the project for which the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) will provide a grant aide of JPY3.99 billion.

The grant aid project aims to reform and modernize Myanmar's customs administration by introducing E-customs and National Single Window and establishing new Automated Cargo Clearance System which are based on NACCS's technology.

The new automated cargo clearance system is scheduled for November 2016.
