Vietnam'a General Administration of Customs has postponed the test run period of its planned e-customs procedure known as the Vietnam Automated Cargo and Port Consolidated System (VNACCS/VCIS) to February 28, 2014.
The trial run was to be conducted from November 15, 2013 to February 15, 2014 to ensure that the system will work properly, but Customs found that the number of participating companies is very limited. This situation, if not improved, will influence the roadmap and the official implementation of VNACCS/VCIS from April 1, 2014.
