The container terminal at Nhava Sheva, located on the west coast of India, will be partially shutdown for six weeks from the beginning of March to set up new harbor cranes.

During the period, loading and discharging operating conditions of container ships alongside the main container berth will be affected. Shipping lines have been advising shippers to reroute their vessels to other Indian ports on the west coast, such as Mundra, Pipavav and Hazira.

Operations are likely to return to full capacity in early May.
