Japan exported 1,015,184 tons of containerized shipments to China in November 2013, according to a report compiled by the Japan Maritime Center (JMC).

Outbound container throughput increased 2.7% from a year earlier, which represented the first year-on-year improvement in five months, or since July. In the first 11 months, exports totaled 11,281,711 tons, decreasing 1.9%.

Meanwhile, the JMC report added that containers from China to Japan went up 1.8% to 2,062,404 tons, growing year on year for the fifth consecutive month. In the January-November period, on the other hand, they declined 1.6% to 20,690,291 tons.
