The Intra-Asia Discussion Agreement (IADA) has recommended its member lines to revise Japan THC's (both for dry and reefer containers) to the following levels, effective January 1, 2014.

For dry containers, from the current JPY25,000/TEU and JPY 37,000/TEU to JPY30,000/TEU and JPY45,000/FEU For reefer containers, from JPY37,000/TEU and JPY48,000/FEU to JPY39,000/TEU to JPY58,500/FEU In breakdown, 10.355 TEUs were exported to and imported from South Korea, going up 1.4%, and 6.899 million TEUs were transshipped, up 8.9%.

By port, Busan, the busiest port in the country, processed 13.191 million TEUs, going up 3.1% and Kwangyang, 1.655 million TEUs, up 3.1%. Throughput improved more favorably at Inchon thanks to growth in container movement to and from China and Southeast Asia, which rose 8.3% to 1.576 million TEUs.
