Israeli Customs has postponed the enforcement date for the new rule applicable for FROB cargo (Foreign Cargo Remaining on Board) onboard vessels by one month. As a result, submission of advanced cargo information to Israeli customs, which was initially to become mandatory from September 9, 2013, will be obligatory from October 8, 2013.

Under the new rule, information on all containerized FROB cargoes over Israeli ports must be electronically submitted to Israel customs 24 hours prior to cargo loading at port of load. Cargo discharging in Israel is not in scope.
