According to U.K.'s Drewry Shipping Consultant, the World Container Index (WCI) of the average spot prices in all trade routes stood at $2,376.6 per FEU in the week from May 31 through June 7, a decline of 2.7% from the previous week's $2,442.2 per FEU.
In the trade from Shanghai to Rotterdam, the WCI was $3,229 per FEU, down by $66 from a week before and from Rotterdam to Shanghai it remained flat at $876 per FEU in the week ended on June 7.
In the transpacific trades, the index from Shanghai to Los Angeles fell by $111 on week to $2,235 per FEU and from Shanghai to New York it also dropped by $102 to $3,442 per FEU.
