Chilean carrier CCNI has informed its customers of Chile's Agriculture and Livestock Service (SAG) has issued the phytosanitary emergency provisional norm and applied it to any product consisting of second-hand; clothes, toys and vehicles, with the aim to avoid the entrance of the Halyomorpha Halys pest, present in United States, China, Korea, Japan and Taiwan, according to Chilean carrier CCNI.

As a result, all second-hand goods coming from mentioned countries must carry an original phytosanitary treatment certificate (applied in origin), which has to be presented to a SAG Inspector at the Chilean entrance point.
The certificate must contain the following information:
- Name of the company that performed the treatment (It is who issues the certificate).
- Name and address of the exporting company.
- Date on which the treatment was carried out, with a maximum of 5 days before loading.
- Information of the treated article; type of product and amount/quantity.
- Treatment to which it was subject to, indicating the applied product, dose, minimum temperature of the process and exposure time.

In addition, if the cargo is intercepted with the pest, or if the shipment does not comply with the treatment certificate, the goods will be rejected, reshipped and the cost will have to be paid by the importer.
