A bill to partially revise the Customs Tariff Act and other regulations by the Ministry of Finance (MOF) was approved at the House of Representatives on Friday and sent to the House of Councilors. The bill is expected to pass the Upper House by the end of March after deliberation at its committee and be promulgated on April 1.

The bill contains the introduction of a Japanese version of the ''24-Hour Rule,'' the Japanese version of the 24-Hour Rule will take effect after two years or less of preparation after a new law is made public, as it is necessary to hold discussions and make arrangements with relevant parties and to set a get-acquainted period.
