The Saudi Arabian government recently has approved a landbridge project which will link the port of Jeddah on the Red Sea coast of the Kingdom to Dammam and Jubail seaports on the Arabian Gulf through the existing railway network between Riyadh and Dammam.
The total construction cost for the proposed landbridge is estimated at $20 billion.
