In concert with the 26th Summer Universiade to be held in Shenzhen, the city government has officially announced issued special public holiday arrangements for the games (August 12-23, 2011), which applies to all governmental departments and institutions, schools and non-government organizations in the city. Other enterprises and groups can make relevant arrangements at their discretion.
The seven-day holiday is broken down into two parts, the four-day Opening Ceremony Holiday from August 11 (Thursday) to August 14 (Sunday), and the three-day Closing Ceremony Holiday from August 22 (Monday) to August 24 (Wednesday).
