The EU Commission has decided that all EU countries must terminate their individual grace period for transmission of Entry Summary Declaration (ENS) on June 30, 2011 at the latest.

Therefore, it is likely that Customs authorities will start issuing fines or vessels will encounter delays in the EU ports, if the security manifest data is not transmitted 24 hours prior to loading.

Non-compliance may lead to cargo not being loaded on board the EU going vessel.

The security regulation of the European Union (EU) has been in effect since January 1, 2011.
