The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on Tuesday added the two Japanese prefectures of Chiba and Saitama to its Import Alert which addressed detention of products from Japan due to radiation concerns. The two prefectures are in the closest proximity to Tokyo to the north and east. With immediate effect, all milk, milk products, and produce from these prefectures.
Other prefectures already in the Import Alert is Fukushima where the damaged nuclea plant is locatedl, gunma, Ibartaki and Tochigi.
