French dockworkers ended their rolling strikes which had continued for six weeks since early January, after reaching agreement with employers over retirement age.

A deal was struck after the four-day bargaining between the National Federation of Ports and Docks, a unit of the General Confederation of Labor (CGT), and employers' associations, namely UNIM (Union Nationale des Industries de Manutention or French stevedoring companies and terminal operators association) and UPF (Union des Ports de France).
