The Westbound Transpacific Stabilization Agreement (WTSA) has unveiled a rate increase plan for both dry and refrigerated cargoes which will take effect on March 15 and April 1, 2011 as follows:
Dry Cargoes
- Chemicals: $300/FEU rate increase, effective April 1.
- Cotton: New minimum port-to-port rates, inland add-ons, effective April 1; rates subject to bunker, IFS, DTHC (except PRC), doc fees, Alameda Corridor, port security, other accessorial charges as applicable; provisions for equipment substitution. Minimums effective through Dec. 31, 2011, but subject to further increases as warranted.
- Lumber: $300/FEU rate increase, effective April 1.
- Metal Scrap $300/FEU rate increase, effective April 1.
Refrigerated Cargoes
- Fish, Frozen: $300/FEU increase, effective March 15.
- Beef/Pork, Frozen and Chilled: $300/FEU increase, effective April 1.
- Poultry, Frozen: $300/FEU increase, effective April 1.
- Seafood (NOS): $300/FEU increase, effective March 15.
- Vegetables, All kinds (VAK), Chilled: $300/FEU increase, effective April 1.
