The Egyptian port of Port Said was closed for operations due to anti-government riots in the country. The port, the fourth largest city in the country and the second most important port after Alexandria, is located in northeast Egypt, on the Mediterranean Sea.
The ports of Alexandria and Damietta reportedly were operational, but to a much limited extent. Transits at the Suez Canal are available so far, according to carrier sources.
