Container traffic between 12 Asian countries and territories (including Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Philippines, Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, China and South Korea) hit record 12.674 million TEUs in 2010, up 8.9% compared with 11.642 million TEUs in the previous year.
Of the total, containerized imports to Japan from these 11 economies rose by 5.5% from a year earlier to 2.408 million TEUs, while exports climbed 5.9% to 1.216 million TEUs.
