As of 6 p.m. January 14, the Port of Brisbane remains closed to all commercial shipping due to continued flood related strong currents and debris, according to the port authority.

Some siltation in the channel has occurred, and some objects have been located. These obstructions are targeted for removal Saturday Jan 15. Surveys continue in the inner channel, swing basins and berth pockets at Fisherman Islands. River conditions are settling although strong currents persist. Movements of priority shipping in the port remains targeted for Sunday January 16.
