The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) announced Thursday that Chairman Richard A. Lidinsky, Jr. and Commissioner Rebecca F. Dye will address the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, Subcommittee on Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation, on June 30, 2010, to report on the status of the commission's fact finding investigation on vessel capacity and equipment availability in the United States export and import liner trades. Commissioner Dye briefed the commission Wednesday in a closed FMC meeting, outlining the progress of her investigation, recommendations for immediate actions, and possibilities for future action.

The commission's determinations on its decided course of action will be presented at the June 30 Congressional hearing.
