The Drewry Intra-Asia Container Index (IACI) increased 10% from the previous week to a record high of $1,114 per FEU after strengthening in 11 of the last 12 weeks. The index has now more than doubled in value since the U.S.-Israeli attacks on Iran began.

The IACI is a weighted average of spot rates on 18 major lanes within Asia that do not include terminal handling charges (THCs), which include those to and from four Northeast Asian nations (Japan, China, South Korea, and Taiwan), five Southeast Asian nations (Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam) and two Southwest Asian nations (India and the United Arab Emirates, or UAE). The index is unveiled every two weeks.
