The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) of Japan’s Kanto Regional Development Bureau will begin the full-scale operation of Container Fast Pass (CONPAS) in mid-July at BC Container Terminal of the Port of Yokohama’s Honmoku Pier.
Based on the results of previous trial operations, CONPAS, a port information system developed and operated by the MLIT to streamline container logistics, will require bookings for all loaded and empty containers delivered to and from the container terminal through BC2 Gate. All container carriers, including those belonging to the Kanagawa Trucking Association, will be required to make bookings through CONPAS.
