CMA CGM will call Kobe in its trunk-trade services, Kobe-Osaka International Port Corp. (KOIPC) announced on Tuesday, adding that two of them will be the only services linking Japan with Europe and the U.S. East Coast.
Called the Ocean Rise Express, the new weekly Europe-Asia service will weekly connect Japan with Rotterdam, Hamburg, and Southampton and make its inaugural call at Kobe on April 2.
The weekly Chesapeake Bay Express will add Kobe to its ports of call on May 20, lining Japan with Norfolk, Charleston, Savannah, and Jacksonville.
CMA CGM will amend its Eagle Express 1 and incorporate Kobe on May 5, which will cater to Los Angeles and Oakland on a weekly schedule.
