The Port of Hakata in Japan handled a combined 78,003 TEUs of international and domestic feeder containers in October 2025, down 0.6% year on year, according to the Hakata Port and Airport Bureau. Including domestic containers, total throughput came to 84,541 TEUs, down 0.4%.

As for international containers, 37,294 TEUs were exported, up 4.4%, and 36,525 TEUs were imported, down 1%. Looking at domestic feeder containers, 1,647 TEUs were delivered out, down 41.7%, and 2,537 TEUs were delivered in, down 15.9%. Domestic containers totaled 6,538 TEUs, up 2.2%.

In January-October, international and domestic containers added up to 748,776 TEUs, up 3.1%. Including domestic containers, Hakata processed a total of 813,789 TEUs, up 3%.

Hakata exported 351,716 TEUs, up 6.6%, and imported 351,174 TEUs, up 3.5%, while 19,215 TEUs of domestic feeder containers were delivered out, down 31.4%, and 26,671 TEUs were delivered in, down 9.2%. Domestic containers amounted to 65,012 TEUs in total, up 2.8%.
