The latest KOBC Container Composite Index (KCCI) quoted 1,993 points on Monday, according to Korea Ocean Business Corp. (KOBC). The composite index fell 3.67% from a week earlier as spot rates for container exports from Busan continued to decline on the trades to Europe, the U.S. and the east coast of Latin America.

The KCCIs decreased across the board on the main lanes, going down 6.16% to $1,904 per FEU to the U.S. West Coast, 7.01% to $2,996 per FEU to the U.S. East Coast, 5.13% to $3,110 per FEU to Europe and 5.2% to $3,120 per FEU to the Mediterranean,

On the non-main lanes, the KCCIs increased 5.42% to $2,995 per FEU to the west coast of Latin America, 2.78% to $3,958 per FEU to Southern Africa and 2.92% to $2,256 per FEU to Australia. On the other hand, the KCCI slid 0.37% to $2,446 per FEU to the Middle East, 8.2% to $4,937 per FEU to the east coast of Latin America and 2.62% to $4,491 per FEU to West Africa.

In the intra-Asia waters, the KCCIs improved 0.45% to $221 per FEU to Japan, remained unchanged at $50 per FEU to China and waned 1.63% to $963 per FEU to Southeast Asia.
