As of March 2, the customs authorities in Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium suspended customs procedures for export and import shipments to and from Saint Petersburg due to the escalation of the war between Russia and Ukraine, according to Trans Russia Agency Japan, the general agent in Japan for FESCO Transportation Group.

As such, there is no way now to transport cargo by way of Saint Petersburg. As a consequence, FESCO no longer accepts shipments in its FESCO Trans-Baltic Bridge, a hauling service to Europe via the Russian port. Trans Russia Agency Japan said it is now working with FESCO on the commodities that it has already taken in.
